Swedish rockers Bulletrain released their second album, “What You Fear The Most”, through AOR Heaven on 23rd September. This is the follow up to “Start Talking” which was released in October 2014. I’d posted a recommendation for that album and tracks from it featured on the Shows over the last two years ( http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/back-stage/music-reviews/1705-ni-rocks-recommends-qstart-talkingq-by-bulletrain.html ). I knew then I’d enjoy listening to “What You Fear The Most” and that tracks would be featured on our playlists. I played “Can’t Get Away” on the NI Rocks A-Z Show on 6th September and “Memory Lane” is included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 23rd September.

Bulletrain formed back in 2006 and released a couple of EPs before starting to work on a debut album for AOR Heaven in 2011. However, at that point, the bands original lead singer decided to leave and the record deal was lost. Founding members, guitarist Mattias Persson and drummer Jonas Tillheden were determined to continue along with rhythm guitarist Robin Bengtsson who’d been in the band since the very early days. Niklas Månsson joined the band as the bass player and Sebastian Sundberg took over on vocals in 2013. AOR Heaven signed them once again for the release of their debut album in 2014.

There are ten tracks on the new album. My own personal favourites would include “Memory Lane”, “Love, Lies”, “Can’t Get Away” and “Fear”.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

The simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends” is to acknowledge and promote some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI. I'll not be giving marks or ratings or analyzing the tracks in great detail; just telling you something about the artist and the album. It’s a personal recommendation to go check something out, not a traditional “review”!

My musical tastes cover most things rock; from the not too melodic to the not too heavy. The albums that I’ll be recommending are those that you’ll hear me playing tracks from on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
