“Outbreak” is the third album from American band Vandallus and it was released on 12th December by Mercinary Records. The band formed in Cleveland in 2015 and the focus has been on re-creating the rock / metal vibe from the late 70’s and early 80’s. The track “Barricade” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 20th December.
Vandallus was formed by singer Jason Vanek (aka Crazy V) and guitarist Shaun Vanek (aka Vanek) in 2015. Both are also in the band Eternal Legacy which released three albums between 2007 and 2013. They were joined by two other Eternal Legacy members, bass player Tim Frederick (aka Tim-Ay) and drummer Steve Dukuslow (aka SteveD). The final member of the original line-up was guitarist Tyler J Harvey. He was replaced by Vic Stown for the latest album.
A debut, self-titled EP was released in 2015, followed by the albums “On The High Side” in 2016 and “Bad Disease” in 2018.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”
This is purely a personal recommendation and some information about the artist and the album; not a traditional ‘review’. Most of the recommendations posted are for albums that have been sent to us digitally by the record label or promoter. Quite often I’ve also bought the album on CD or vinyl as well and sometimes I just feel the need to post a recommendation for an album that I’ve bought myself. Essentially these are albums that I like and which I’ve played some tracks from on the Shows on Rock Radio NI!
