Whilst I never really got into Magnum ‘back in the day’, I’ve nothing but high praise when it comes to their recent albums. This is the third album recommendation that I’ve posted for a Magnum release and I think ‘Sacred Blood “Devine” Lies’ which is released through Steamhammer / SPV on 26th February, is the best one to date. The tour to support the album brings Magnum to Northern Ireland for the first time in many years when they play The Limelight in Belfast on 27th May.

It could have been a disaster taking the live favourites into a recording studio. Thankfully it isn't a disaster, rather the five-piece have taken the stoner groove and the anger and brought a vitality to the sound.
