ALKALINE Trio are one of the few 'pop punk' bands that have a certain resonance with the metal community; if not for the music but certainly for the lyrics. Matt Skiba even had an inverted cross shining silvery bright against his black clothing.

Over five years ago, I first saw Ajenda playing a gig in The Empire, Belfast and I’m pretty sure that it was that same night that I bought a CD in a clear plastic folder from the young lead singer as she worked the crowd between bands. That CD was the first Ajenda EP and contained five excellent tracks, some of which have been reworked over the years and made appearances on subsequent releases, though I must admit I still love those original recordings too. Ajenda have finally released their first full length album entitled “Unrecognizable” and it contains that same mix of awesome vocals and ridiculously excellent guitar work that first made the band stand out five years ago.
