NI Rocks Recommends
I'm not a reviewer but wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels both within and outside of N Ireland. That was the idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. Let's just say that if I've went to the bother of writing this, I think it's worth taking a listen to!!
Million Dollar Reload - A Sinner’s Saint
NI Rocks has been raving about this album by local rockers Million Dollar Reload long before it was released at the end of June and it has already been reviewed on the Rock Radio NI website by Jonny as part of his Belfast Metalheads Reunited blog. But as it’s still technically a new release and as those good folk at Frontiers Records had shared it with us it qualifies for inclusion in the new “NI Rocks Recommends” feature.
This recommendation could be summed up in only three words – JUST BUY IT!!!
And Bakken are a band that knows how much it means to have music

Gypsyhawk – Revelry & Resilience
This album was sent to us by Metal Blade Records and is released on 28th August 2012.
Gypsyhawk are from California
It’s Gypsyhawk’s second album but I have to admit that this is the first time I’d heard them. Although the band members have been involved in heavier, thrashier bands in the past this is definitely a no nonsense rock album and I quickly realized it was one I’d be wanting to add to my iPod.
