Guns N Roses are set to begin work on a new album and have promised it won't take the 15 years it took to release 2008's 'Chinese Democracy'.

The group are only in the early stages of writing, but have revealed that they've got "a bunch of ideas".

"We're talking about that right now," guitarist DJ Ashba told RockItOutBlog.com. "We've been throwing around a bunch of ideas and it should be good."

"We've got a lot of good stuff on the plate coming out," he continued. "It won't take as long [as it took to make 'Chinese Democracy'] – I promise."

The guitarist also added that frontman Axl Rose has "a lot of good shit up his sleeves", for what will be the band's seventh studio effort.

"I'm excited to get this next one rolling," he explained. "Axl [Rose] has a lot of good shit up his sleeves, so I'm really excited about it."

With all the controversy surrounding the UK Tour that has just past including all the drama in Dublin and usual lateness in Belfast I reckon the listeners of RRNI won't be in any hurry for the next album never mind the next tour!.
