NI Rocks Recommends - The Last Vegas - "Bad Decisions"
I’d become a fan of The Last Vegas when I heard their previous album “Whatever Gets You Off” and regular listeners to the NI Rocks shows on Rock Radio NI will have heard me playing tracks by the band fairly frequently. They’ve actually been around since 2005 releasing several albums before the success of “Whatever Gets You Off”.
“Bad Decisons” was released in the USA in August 2012, but only got a European release in November on the AFM label. I’d already got a preview of how good the album was going to be thanks to the release of “Other Side” as an EP at the end of 2011 and the release of the first single from the album- “Evil Eyes”. The rest of the tracks maintain those high standards and “Bad Decisions” rates as one of my favourite albums of 2012. Definitely one that I recommend you check out.

OCTOBER RAGE are a band originating from New South Wales in Australia. Brothers Nick and William Roberts were the driving force behind the band and they released their first single “Silver Line” in 2009, followed by the album “Outrage” and most recently the single “White Walkers”. The band has been touring extensively in the USA this year.
The band features Nick Roberts on vocals and guitar, William Roberts on bass, Alan Toka on drums and Josh Gilbert on guitar. Nick kindly agreed to answer a few questions for Rock Radio NI.
Shylock – Walking Tall
The new album by German band Shylock is released in January 2013 by AOR Heaven and was sent to us by MEPR. The band have been around since 1998 releasing several albums over the years, most recently “RockBuster” in 2010. This is straight up no-nonsense rock music with no airs or graces. If you like catchy rock tunes this album is for you! With 13 tracks lasting over 50 minutes you’ll not be disappointed.
