Frontiers Music released three great albums by Swedish bands on 21st April. “Soul Survivor” by Adrenaline Rush was one of those three and probably my favourite. The album is the second from the band, following their self-titled debut in 2014. I’d interviewed lead singer Tåve Wanning following the release of their debut album in September 2014 and was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to talk to her again to find out more about the new album. That interview is included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 28th April, along with four tracks from the new album.

I post a lot of album recommendations for releases by Swedish bands and that is a reflection of course of how much good rick music comes out of that country. Just to emphasise that latter point, Frontiers Music released 3 albums by Swedish bands on 21st April and I’ll be posting recommendations for all three. The first of those is “Ruff Justice” by Crazy Lixx, a band for which I’ve posted several album recommendations over the past few years. Lead singer Danny Rexon was also a guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show back in 2014. I played “Wild Child”, the opening track of the new album on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 28th April.
Swedish band Adrenaline Rush, fronted by Tåve Wanning, released their second album, entitled “Soul Survivor” via Frontiers Music on 21st April. Tåve had been a guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show back in September 2014, following the release of the bands self-titled debut album. I decided to catch up with her for another chat to find out about the new album, what the band had been getting up to and future plans. That interview was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show dated 28th April. That Show can now be found on our MixCloud page - https://www.mixcloud.com/NIRocks/interview-with-t%C3%A5ve-from-adrenaline-rush-on-the-friday-ni-rocks-show-28th-april-2017/

Shameless released their latest studio album, entitled “The Filthy 7”, through RSR Music on 7th April 2017. It may be that the “7” refers to the fact that this is the seventh studio from the glam / sleaze rockers since their debut in 1999. I’ve played tracks from their previous album “Beautiful Disaster” on the NI Rocks Shows a few times since it was released in 2013 and the track “How The Story Goes” from the new album was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 14th April.
